Doctor Wendy explains positive psychology as the science of happiness and she’s excited that we now do have research to show us what it means to live a flourishing, happy life. We talk about how to start making a change for ourselves by asking where we desire change. Doctor Wendy discusses the steps that come after asking that, the questions we can ask that help us define the change we want. We talk about giving ourselves permission to imagine better experiences, what radical responsibility means and why we need to embrace it, and how we change by understanding that internal growth is about internal work. It’s a wonderful conversation and there’s so much I learned. Doctor Wendy is not talking about toxic positivity but active choices to look at the whole picture and decide to move forward.
